anyone have a dog that got fixed, then got fat

oh my goodness.

my adorble pup, got her fixed about 4 months ago at 2.5 yrs of age.

she has put on so much weight,,and i have changed nothing,,,any here have the same thing,,,guess i gotta get out early to take her for walks.

My dog had an undiagnosed thyroid problem. It is worth having blood tests. BTW, doctors are as behind in diagnosing low thyroid in dogs as they are in humans. If you can find a holistic vet, I would take your pet there. Even with a holistic vet, you may meet resistance. My dog didn't meet the lowest threshold, so my vet didn't want to prescribe. Instead, she said that she would re-test in 4 months. If there was any drop in his thyroid levels, she would prescribe. There was a drop in the next test results.

All his symptoms remedied themselves with a small daily does of thyroid. It made a huge difference in my dogs energy level and disposition. He had become was very lethargic, and his coat was much more dry and brittle.

BTW, he had his "surgery" late in life, and had experienced a couple years of normal cycles.

Witness Divorce= How do you "prove" to Elders you can re-marry?

well if you divorce there's no re-marrying unless you can show your ex has commited adultery.

do they expect video footage, or pictures like the"cheaters" style t.v show.

do you need "2 witnesses" as the bible states.

I was on the OSCE website a couple of weeks ago trying to find the membership document that lists the various NGOs. If I remember correctly, JWs had about 4-5 different ones. I searched multiple ways but was never able to find it.

Does anyone know where I might find this information?

Local Needs tonight

here is something i thought was a bit weird.. tonights local needs was about depression.

not so much in how we can help those with depression, but about getting over it.. the brother used the scriptures about elijah and the widow to show who was relying on jehovah.. he mentioned how the widow was obviously depressed.

then showed how she should have been like elijah.. as i sat there and listened, i realized his underlying message:.

Shepherds Looking For "Lost Sheep" Broke Their Legs Upon Finding Them

on another discussion board, a poster made this odd comment.

she said that when ancient shepherds recovered a lost sheep, they broke its legs.

then, they never ran away again.

It couldn't move with along with the flock to greener pastures and hence die.

Dear Black Pearl:

The theory is that the sheep must now constantly be carried by the shepherd while the leg heals. The sheep doesn't 'remember' that the shepherd broke its leg, it just remembers the 'love' the shepherd showed it by constantly carrying it. Therefore, it ceases wandering off and loyally follows the shepherd.

Sadly, Lady Liberty, it appears this is a hugh Christian urgan legend. It is all over the internet. I can see JWs picking up on this as a justification for disfellowshipping. I too disbelieve it, but I would like some authoritative source to quote to support my opinion.
